Dr KAREEM A. ALWAN AL-KORJI
Corrosion Assessment expert - Head of team
36 years’ experience in Iraqi oil upstream industry, with deep experience in corrosion assessment, evaluation, and control activities.
He led Iraqi teams in many joint studies projects with JAPANESE entities, (most of them were relating to corrosion in oil facilities) and many teams to find the status, reasons and mitigation of serious corrosion cases in Iraqi oil fields.
He published many papers, one of them in corrosion. He is the founder and chief editor of Petroleum Researches and Studies Journal (PRSJ), and the founder and chairperson of Baghdad SPE Section. He has the membership of NACE.
Prof. Dr. Basim O. Hasan
Internal & external corrosion expert
Teaching corrosion engineering in undergraduate and post graduate for up to 18 years. He published up to 30 research papers in the field of corrosion, and supervised up to 20 MSC and PhD theses in the field of corrosion engineering.
He is the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department / Al-Nahrain University for to 6 years.
Scholarships: Endeavor research fellowship (postdoctoral research) university of Adelaide Australia, Erlangen University, Germany, and Alexander von Humboldt, Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
Dr. Fadhil Neamah Alkanany
Expert in Microbiologically Influenced corrosion
Twenty years’ experience in higher education as a Biologist, University of Basra, Iraq. Expert in detection of corrosion related microorganisms, and detection of water contamination and solve the related problems. He worked in laboratories management with related sheets arrangement using specific programs. Expert in biotechnology techniques and management of Cloning protocols.
Prof. Dr Harith Jabbar Fahad Al-Mathkhury
Expert in Microbiology classification and accounting

Patent: Iraqi patent number 2687, entitled: the biosorption of thorium by Bacillus sphaericus strain Iraq from liquid solutions.
He has published more than 80 papers in field of Microbiology, some of them are focusing on industrial microbiology.
Prof. Dr. Ala'a Abdulrazaq Jassim
General Corrosion expert
20 years in the field of chemical engineering, published many papers and supervised many PhD thesis in corrosion engineering. He is the head of chemical and oil test laboratory in engineering college-Basrah University
He worked as a consultant engineer with many companies such as Aqua-Strategic Company-USA, USAID and Anwar Alshareef -Kuwait for implementing various projects in Iraq. Also, he was the Quality Assurance engineer and management of a variety of different projects from conception through construction and closeout in USA Corps of Engineers.
Sadeq Jaafar AbdulRazzaq
Cathodic protection expert
35 years experience in cathodic Protection and Training activities. He was Responsible for all activities in the field of cathodic protection in the MINISTRY OF IRAQI OIL (MoO).He was Head of Cathodic Protection Department in OIL PIPELINES COMPANY (more than 6000 km pipelines), dealing daily with installing, design reviewing and maintenance of cathodic protection systems, and finding solutions for all problems for these systems. He worked as a representative of MoO with international companies (Hyundai, Nippon and Makers), which implemented projects in the field of Cathodic protection.
Dr. Kareem Thamer Shnaihe
Industrial chemistry expert
35 years’ experience in oil sector laboratories, and refineries units operation. He was 3 years as a Petroleum Corrosion Expert.

He published many papers, some of them in corrosion , and has 2 patents in “Activation of the Iraqi Kaolin for using in Industrial Water Treatment” and “Water Treatment by Nanotechnology”.
